Peer-to-Peer
Review
During Peer-to-Peer Review, each applicant will score and comment on five other applications, using four criteria included in the scoring rubric: innovative, feasible, transformative, and aligned. This is the same scoring rubric that the Evaluation Panel will use.
Scores will be calculated using an algorithm that ensures a level playing field for all applicants. In addition to scoring each application on the four criteria in the scoring rubric, applicants will also provide a final numerical score, ranging between 0-100, representing an overall assessment of quality for the entire application. We ask that each applicant reviewer carefully read the applications given to them and provide meaningful feedback that the WIN Challenge team will use to determine who will move on to the next stages of the challenge.
Peer Review will result in a rank order of all valid submissions. Based on the rank order of scores, a selection of top-scoring applications will move forward to the Evaluation Panel.
Evaluation Panel
Evaluation Panel judges will score and provide feedback on applications assigned to them using the scoring rubric. Scores will be statistically normalized to ensure a level playing field.
Informed by Evaluation Panel results, designated members of the WIN Council will recommend up to eight awardees who will receive grants of either $2.5 million or $5 million each. Award selection will be based on considerations that may include, but are not limited to, Evaluation Panel resulting rank order, organizational capacity, geographic impact, and demonstrated potential.

WIN Council
Designated members of the WIN Council will make a recommendation to Aspen Digital for selection of up to eight awardees for the WIN AI Challenge. The WIN Council will be composed of noted workplace leaders, innovative thinkers, and forward-looking problem-solvers. These leaders will help guide the challenge’s efforts and offer insights and big visions for what’s possible.
Based on considerations that may include, but are not limited to, Evaluation Panel resulting rank order, organizational capacity, geographic impact, and demonstrated potential, the WIN Council will recommend up to eight awardees to receive grants of either $2.5 million or $5 million each. If a WIN Council member has a conflict of interest with any Applicant, such Council member will recuse themselves from reviewing such Applicant’s proposal. Final decisions and selection of awardees will be made by Aspen Digital.
