Eliza Kosoy, PhD, is a cognitive scientist, AI researcher, and previous VC-backed founder working at the intersection of youth development and artificial intelligence. She completed her PhD at UC Berkeley and previously conducted research at MIT and Google DeepMind, exploring how insights from child development can inform more human-centered AI systems. She is currently a researcher at Character.AI, where she focuses on teen safety, alignment, and responsible AI product design. Eliza brings a unique blend of academic rigor and founder experience to advancing AI systems that better support young people.
