A multilingual emerging technology and business executive with 20+ years of experience across 15 countries, Jennifer Atala drives responsible, scalable, and inclusive tech innovation at the intersection of policy, risk, and global development.
Most recently leading Capital One's GenAI/AIML first-line risk team, she previously served as a senior career official at DHS with TS/SCI clearance — appointed by Secretary Mayorkas to co-lead the DHS AI Safety & Security Board, where she shaped AI governance for critical infrastructure. She also advised White House and interagency policy councils on emerging technology.
Earlier, she built inclusive economies globally, designing launching Aspen Digital and HP Inc.'s first Digital Equity Accelerator and eBay's first MENA startup accelerator, and structuring blended finance across seven industries in Palestine.
A trained development economist, her work has been recognized by FedScoop as a Tech Executive Leader and CSIS as a "Top 50 Under 50" Foreign Affairs & National Security Leader.
