Talia Milgrom-Elcott is the dynamic founder and executive director of multiple organizations, including Beyond100K, a networked effort to end the STEM teacher shortage in the United States, and the Starfish Institute, a nonprofit advisory firm that supports visionary organizations and leaders to tackle complex social challenges and catalyze enduring social change.
She launched Beyond100K (originally 100Kin10) in 2011 in response to President Obama's call for 100K new STEM teachers in ten years. A decade later, she had led the network to exceed the goal, preparing 108K STEM teachers despite a growing national shortage.
An innovative and creative leader in education and social impact, Talia has been a featured keynoter at gatherings around the world. She has written for Stanford Social Innovation Review and is a regular contributor to Forbes.com. She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard and Harvard Law School and serves on various nonprofit boards and advisories.
