Moore
Travis Moore is the Founder and Executive Director of TechCongress, a nonpartisan nonprofit building a pipeline of technical expertise into the public sector by placing technologists as technology policy advisors in Congress.
Since its founding, TechCongress has launched more than 130 technologists into public service, strengthening government’s capacity to understand and govern technology. In response to COVID-19, TechCongress created the Congressional Digital Service Fellowship, which helped catalyze the House Digital Service—the first digital service office in any U.S. legislature.
Before founding TechCongress, Moore served as Legislative Director to Rep. Henry A. Waxman, former Chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee and widely regarded as one of the most effective lawmakers of his era.
He also co-founded #CongressToo, which brought the #MeToo movement to Capitol Hill. His work has been featured in The New York Times, Wired, and The Washington Post.
